About The Bath Tub Boys: Barrier Free Bathroom Experts

“The Bath Tub Boys” was established in 1997 under the umbrella of D. Clark Enterprises and located in Mount Pleasant, MI, a central location for Lower Michigan. Over the years, we have grown from a bathtub and shower repair facility to providing many different services, including bathroom remodeling, bathtub & shower resurfacing, installing standard and ADA (disability accessible) barrier free fixtures, and bath liners and/or surrounds.

Dave Clark, Owner of the Bath Tub Boys, saw a need early on for barrier free access to customer’s existing bathtubs and showers, which typically required the customer to shell out hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to remove their existing bathtubs and showers and replace them with easier-access versions of the same thing.

With Dave being a pretty clever guy, he soon designed a way to “retrofit” an access door right into the side of an existing bathtub. Known as the Retro Door™, this innovative, barrier free solution allows the bather to open the door, enter into the tub, close the door which provides a water-tight seal as the bather fills the tub with water for his bath.
